About the Book

As there is no comprehensive textbook on Mathematics for the UG students of engineering, an attempt has been made to fill a niche that exists. This book provides a simple, clear and logical presentation of the basic concepts of Fourier series and Fourier Transform, Laplace Transform, Second Order Linear Differential Equation with Variable Coefficients, Linear and Non-Linear Partial Differential Equation of First Order and Linear Partial Differential Equation of Second and Higher Order, Vector Calculus and its application in different branches of engineering.

                The book has been written according to the syllabus of various Universities of India. The chapters are organized systematically with the fundamentals and explained with different type of solved examples. The book not only covers the entire scope of the subject but explains the philosophy of mathematical methods in solving a verity of engineering problems; and makes the understanding of the subject more easy.

About the Authors

Prof. R. N. Yadava, M.Sc. (BHU Varanasi), Ph. D. (IIT Bombay), Raman Research Fellow and a founder member of RRL (CSIR) Bhopal, has served CSIR as Director Gr. Sci. and executed a variety of research projects at National & International level; and supervised Research Scholars and PG Students for their Ph. D. & M. Tech. thesis respectively. Dr. Yadava has published his research papers in many National and International Journals.

Prof. Yadava currently is working as Principal of the Patel Institute of Technology (PGOI) Bhopal and having adequate research and teaching experience at UG and PG level. He has been invited to deliver technical talks in the esteemed universities of USA, Canada, UK, Germany, The Netherlands, Thailand, Korea, Australia, etc. and to Chair Technical Sessions in National and International Conferences.

Ramakant Bhardwaj, M.Sc., Ph.D. from the Barkatullaha University, Bhopal (MP) is working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics of Truba Institute of Engineering & Information Technology at Bhopal. He has published research papers in journals of International repute and also presented research papers in national and international conferences. He is also co-author of two books entitled 'Comprehensive Remedial Mathematics' and 'Remedial Mathematics' for the students of B. Pharmacy as per the syllabus of UPTU and UTU.

Sarvesh Kumar Agrawal, M.Sc., M. Phil., has published a number of  research papers in International and National journals and participated in many national and international conferences. He is also co-author of two books namely 'Comprehensive Remedial Mathematics' and 'Remedial Mathematics' for the UG students of B. Pharma. of UPTU and UTU. Presently he is working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics, Truba Institute of Science & Technology, Bhopal.
