About the Book:

This book is meant to help postgraduate students of medicine, dentistry, veterinary science, and pharmacy plan, conduct, and write their dissertations. Written for beginners in research, it focuses on the steps and practical tips for carrying out a research project, while intentionally avoiding excessive theoretical detail and retaining a simple, easy-to-understand approach. In the context of the growing emphasis on research quality and publication, the book serves as a practical primer for students and faculty alike.

The present edition also introduces sections on virtual tools and resources, including artificial intelligence, offering guidance on their appropriate use in research and scientific writing while emphasizing the need for critical human oversight. Undergraduate students in these disciplines will also find the book useful when undertaking research projects.

Many universities, including Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore; Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik; and SRM University, Chennai, have recommended previous editions of the book to their students, reflecting its continued relevance and utility.
