About the Authors:

T. Durai Ananda Kumar, M. Pharm, Ph.D., is working as an Associate Professor, in the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, JSS College of Pharmacy (a constituent College of JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research), Udhagamandalam, Tamil Nadu. He has teaching experience on Medicinal Chemistry, Computer-Aided Drug Design, Food analysis and Herbal and cosmetic analysis for B. Pharmacy and M. Pharmacy students. He has guided research projects on the structure-based drug design (SBDD) and chemometrics approaches for pharmacy graduates. He has published write number here research articles in peer reviewed journals and has authored six books titled, Elementary Pharmacoinformatics, Experimental Organic Medicinal Chemistry-Principles and Practice, Microwave Assisted Chemistry Experiments (Organic Synthesis, Chemical synthesis & extraction), Current concepts in drug design, Computer aided drug development and Drug design-a conceptual overview. He is on editorial board and reviewer for peer reviewed biomedical journals. The author is life member of Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India (APTI) and registered pharmacist of Tamil Nadu State Pharmacy Council.

N. Swathi, M. Pharm., Ph.D., is working Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Gokaraju Rangaraju College of Pharmacy, Hyderabad, Telangana. She has 20 years of teaching experience and taught Pharmaceutical Organic Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, Instrumental Methods of Analysis, Computer-aided drug design, Modern Pharmaceutical Analytical Techniques, and Computer-aided drug development subjects for B. Pharmacy and M. Pharmacy students. Molecular modeling, synthesis and evaluation of glitazones and analytical method development were few of her research interests. She has guided twenty-four M. Pharmacy (Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Analysis) students for their dissertation work. She has twenty-nine research publications in peer reviewed national and international journals. She is a reviewer for Medicinal Chemistry Research, Springer. She has authored three books titled, Experimental Organic Medicinal Chemistry-Principles and Practice, Microwave Assisted Chemistry Experiments (Organic Synthesis, Chemical synthesis & extraction) and Computer aided drug development. She is a registered pharmacist in Andhra Pradesh State Pharmacy Council and a Life member of Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India.
