About the Authors:
Manoj
Kumar Dalai, Professor and Head, Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, is
currently employed at the Kanak Manjari Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences in
Rourkela, Odisha. He obtained his B.Pharm. from Berhampur University,
Berhampur, Odisha. He then pursued his M.Pharm. and Ph.D. at Jadavpur
University, West Bengal. He currently has over 25 years of teaching experience
and 3 years of experience in the industry. He published over 20 academic
papers, abstracts, and book chapters. He has been fulfilling the role of
reviewer for various esteemed journals, including the Journal of
Ethnopharmacology. He received a DST Travel Grant award from the government of
India and attended the ethnopharmacology conference in Graz, Austria. He is a
member of multiple professional organizations, such as APTI, ISTE, IPS, and
SFE. He is focused on investigating medicinal plants and their potential for
treating Alzheimer's disease.
Biswaranjan
Behera is currently working as the Principal & Professor, HOD Department
of Pharmacognosy at Kanak Manjari Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Rourkela,
Odisha. He got his B.Pharm degree from Berhampur University, Berhampur, Odisha.
Subsequently, he undertook his M.Pharm degree from The Tamilnadu Dr.M.G.R
Medical University, Chennai and Ph.D from Berhampur University, Berhampur,
Odisha. He has over 25 years of expertise in teaching and research experience.
His academic endeavor focuses on pharmacognostic, phytochemical and
pharmacological investigations of natural drugs. He has authored over 16 papers
that have been published nationally and internationally. Additionally, he has
contributed a chapter to a book titled "Prospective of Indian
Nephroprotective Medicinal Plants". Three of his students have submitted
Ph.D thesis under his supervision. He serves as an evaluator for multiple
universities/board and holds memberships of several professional organizations.
Biswakanth Kar is presently teaching as an Associate Professor in
the Department of Pharmacology at Siksha O Anusandhan (Deemed to be
University), Bhubaneswar, India. He obtained his B.Pharm (2005) from the
Institute of Pharmacy and Technology, Salipur, and his M.Pharm (2010) and Ph.D.
(2014) from the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology, Jadavpur University,
Kolkata. He has over 13 years of experience in academics and research. His
expertise is exploiting natural products with anti-cancer, anti-diabetic, and
anti-inflammatory effects. He bagged more than 80 publications in
internationally reputed journals. He has over 1,538 Google Scholar citations
with an h-index and i-10 index of 20 and 38, respectively. |
