About the Authors:
Hemant R. Badwaik M.Pharm, Assistant Professor & Head of the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Rungta College of Pharmaceutical Sciences & Research, Bhilai, C.G., has 10 years of teaching experience to undergraduate and post graduate level in Pharmaceutical Analysis, Pharmaceutical Chemistry and other Pharmacy related subjects. Currently he has submitted his Ph.D. thesis to Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekananda Technical University, Bhilai.
He has over 30 publications in reputed International and National Journals. He has been received the Best Paper Presentation Award in CGCOST sponsored National Conference on “Polymers: Trends and Innovations” in 2015. He is also recipient of the Young Scientist Award in 15th Chhattisgarh Young Scientist Congress 2017 in Medical and Pharmaceutical Sciences. His current area of research includes Modification of natural polymers by conventional and microwave assisted techniques and Drug Delivery. He is an Editorial Member of International Journal of Pharma and Drug Devlopment. He is an invited reviewer of various scientific journals in the field of medicinal chemistry, computational chemistry, drug delivery and polymer chemistry. He is a life time member of APTI.
Shiv Shankar Shukla has 13 years of teaching and research experience and is presently working as Professor in Columbia Institute of Pharmacy, Raipur (C.G.). He has completed his Graduation in 2002, from B. R. Nahata College of Pharmacy, RGPV, Bhopal (M.P.). He did his Post Graduation in 2005 from L. M. College of Science and Technology, Jodhpur, affiliated to JaiNarain Vyas University, Jodhpur (Rajasthan) and obtained his Doctorate from University Institute of Pharmacy, Pt. Ravi Shankar Shukla University, Raipur (C.G.) in 2012.
His thrust area of research is Analytical Chemistry and quality control. He is the Head of Department of Pharmaceutical Analysis of the institute. He was awarded 'Young Scientist of Chhattisgarh' in 2009 from Chhattisgarh Council of Science and Technology and Dr. P. D. Sethi Annualn award for the best paper on “TLC Densitometric fingerprint Development and Validation of 6-Gingerol as marker in poly-herbal Ayurvedic formulations” in 2010. He has 57 publications in journals of repute with recognition at National and International level. He has authored 3 books and 3 book chapters adding value to his credit. He has organized several National Seminars, Conferences, Workshops and SDPs funded by Government agencies of National and State level. He has received grants from National and State Government funding agencies and from Pharmaceutical Industries for facilitation of research proposals submitted. He is the life member of IPA and APTI. He has been an Invited Speaker, Resource Person and has chaired Scientific sessions in various National and International level Seminars, Workshops, Conferences.
DK Tripathi has been working as Professor & Principal of Rungta College of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research, Bhilai, CG. He had been the Dean of Faculty and the Chairman of BOS, Pharmacy. He has completed his B. Pharm, M. Pharm and PhD degree from Jadavpur University, Kolkata. He has been in profession of Pharmacy since 1974 for about forty-five years. He possessed both industrial and academic experiences. He has successfully worked in various academic Institutions in West Bengal (HC Gorge Institute of Pharmacy, presently known as NSHM Knowledge Campus, Kolkata, Bengal School of Technology, Chinsura), Odisha (Jayadev College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Bhubaneswar) Madhya Pradesh (Patel Institute of Pharmacy, Bhopal) and in Chhattisgarh (Rungta College of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research, Bhilai,). During his work he has understood the need of the students for which he has authored five books– Pharmaceutics (Basic Principles and Formulations), Industrial Pharmacy (A Comprehensive Approach), Elementary Pharmaceutical Calculations, Carrier Opportunity in Pharmacy and on Pharmacovigilance. More than hundred research and review articles have been published in various National and International journals of repute. He has supervised about six scholars at PhD level and about fifty scholars at PG level. |
