About the Book:

This book ‘Instrumentation Operation, Measurement, Scope and Application of Instruments’ provides various concepts, both theoretical and practical knowledge and develops the techno-managerial skill in the field of Instrumentation. Various possible methods of measurements of commonly used instruments for measuring various quantities often applied in engineering and design are provided, presented and discussed sufficiently from fundamentals to advancements. It aims at providing an insight into various concepts and awareness as well as developments of the field. Numerical problems and day-to-day examples, practical situations that occur in industries & daily life are presented wherever necessary. Altogether, it covers the journey around the ‘world’ of ‘Instrumentation’.

The special features in this book are

  • The prerequisites are given under STARTERS at the beginning of each chapter
  • Entire chapter is given under “Chapter Infographic-”, in a single page for a quick revision before an examination or a seminar/presentation
  • Visualization of concepts through INFOGRAPHICS
  • The self assessment questionnaire at every topic under the head ‘SELF ASSESSMENT QUESTIONNAIRE (SAQ)’.
  • Concept based, content based and numerical oriented questions with sufficient number of ILLUSTRATIONS
  • Interesting ‘MILES’, The “More Instruments for Learning Engineers” of this field which are not covered in the regular syllabus, but noteworthy, particularly for who prepare for interviews.
  • The latest developments under ‘Do you know?’ and some TIPS to remember
  • The chapter SUMMARY and KEYWORDS are given at the end of each chapter for revising what is studied.
  • Coverage of ALL THE TOPICS of Instrumentation
  • Chapter end REVIEW questions (Both LONG Answer type and SHORT Answer type)
  • Lucid presentation and simple language
  • Smaller chapters with practical examples and comparisons wherever required.
  • Objective type questions for the INTERVIEWS and COMPETITIVE EXAMS such as GATE
