About the Author

Prof. C. Parameswara Murthy has been on the faculty of Osmania University since 1974 and as Professor of chemistry since 1992 and superannuated in December 2011. In addition to his excellent academic contributions to the student and teaching community, he also discharged administrative duties as Chairperson, Board of studies in Chemistry, Head, Department of Chemistry and Dean, Faculty of Science, Osmania University, Hyderabad. He was a Visiting Scientist / Post-Doctoral fellow at various prestigious institutions abroad including University of Karlsruhe, Germany (1980-81); Max-Planck Institute for Radiation Chemistry, Germany (1985-86); Ohio State University, USA (1987-89), Hahn-Meitner Institute (1993). He was a UNDP visiting Professor at University of Asmara, Eritrea (1997-98). He has 25 publications in Journals of international repute and authored & edited eleven books.

Prof. Andra Naidu obtained B.Sc (special) chemistry, M.Sc (special) Biochemistry and Ph.D (Biochemistry) from Osmania University. Currently working as Principal at Bandari Srinivas Institute of Technology, Chevella. He has about 32 years of teaching and research experience in JNTU College of Engineering, Kukatpally, Hyderabad. He worked as Coordinator, Academic and Planning and also Coordinator of the Steering Committee for the accreditation of the University by NAAC. The University is accredited with 'A' grade by NAAC during 2004. He has published more than twenty research papers in National and International journals. Dr. Naidu has superannuated in 2008 as Professor of Chemistry, JNTU College of Engineering, Kukatpally, Hyderabad.
