About the Authors:

Dr. Pooja A Chawla is working as Professor and Head, Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Analysis, ISF College of Pharmacy Moga, India. She has 20 years of experience in the research, discovery and development of biologically active pharmaceuticals. Dr. Chawla holds a PhD degree in Medicinal Chemistry and has published 3 books, 9 book chapters and more than 100 papers in national/international journals and is serving as a reviewer for international journals of repute. Dr. Chawla is also privileged to serve as guest editor of two reputed journals CNS & Neurological Disorders - Drug Targets IF 4.388 and Current Organic Chemistry IF 2.18) of Bentham Sciences. She has been appointed as Academic editor of PLOS ONE journal IF 3.24. She has guided 50 postgraduate projects and her research team consists of 7 Master's and 4 doctoral research scholars. Her area of research interest focuses on the design and synthesis of various heterocyclic moieties including 4-Thiazolidinones, 2,4-Thiazolidiedione, Coumarin, Pyrazolines, Schiff's base derivatives to name a few for the discovery of medicinally important agents. She is well versed in method development and validation and guiding research scholars in this field. 

Simranpreet Kaur Wahan, is a gold medallist in Master of Science (Chemistry) from Panjab University, Chandigarh. She has a rich teaching and research experience of more than 2.5 years in organic, organometallics chemistry and physical chemistry with expertise in conceptual organic chemistry. Ms Simranpreet has three international publications and two international book chapters to her credit.
