About the Editors:

Dr. Mohammed Wasim Siddiqui is Assistant Professor and Scientist in the Department of Food Science and Post-Harvest Technology at Bihar Agricultural University in Sabour, India, and is the author or co-author of 30 peer-reviewed journal articles, 18 book chapters, and 18 conference papers. He has also edited three volumes and authored one volume. Dr. Siddiqui has established an international peer-reviewed journal, Journal of Postharvest Technology, and is an editorial board member of several journals. He is the recipient of the Achiever Award 2014 for outstanding research work by the Society for Advancement of Human and Nature (SADHNA), Nauni, Himachal Pradesh, India, where he is also an Honorary Board Member. 


Asgar Ali, PhD, is the Founding Director and Professor of Postharvest Biotechnology at the Centre of Excellence for Postharvest Biotechnology (CEPB), University of Nottingham, Malaysia Campus. His research has been cited in many popular media outlets, such as National Geographic and EarthSky Net. Professor Asgar also contributes to the field as a regular peer reviewer for several high-impact journals and has been appointed Associate Editor for the Journal of Horticultural Science and Biotechnology. Dr. Asgar has consulted with government, academic, and industrial bodies in Malaysia and other countries.
