About the Authors:
Dr. Rajesh Bhaskar Nawale is presently working as Associate Professor
in Pharmacology at Government College of Pharmacy, Ratnagiri (Maharashtra).
Started his career as Lecturer at Pravara Rural College of Pharmacy,
Pravaranagar from February 1994. Having passed his graduation and graduation
from University of Pune. Completed his Philosophy of Doctor at Govt. College of
Pharmacy, Aurangabad (Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University). With
teaching experience of more than 20 years, he has written more than 15 national
and International research papers and guided more than 20 M. pharm. students.
He is approved research guide with Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University.
He has delivered more than 10 invited lectures at various state and national
level seminars.
Dr. Prashant Keshaorao Puranik is presently working as Professor in
Pharmaceutics at Department of Pharmaceutical sciences, Rashtra Sant Tukdoji
Maharaj Nagpur University, Nagpur (Maharashtra). He has completed his Pharmacy
education up to Ph.D. (1992) in Nagpur University. He has vast experience in
production, research development and administration. He worked as a Drugs
Inspector with FDA, Govt. of Maharashtra for about eight years. He entered in
academic field and worked as a Lecturer in Govt. College of Pharmacy, Amaravati
and as a Associate Professor in Government College of Pharmacy, Aurangabad and
Karad. He is approved research guide with Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada
University and SRTM University, Nanded. Under his guidance four students have
been awarded Ph.D. and 31 students have completed M. Pharm. He has 30
international and 19 national publications to his credit. He has
delivered more than 20 invited lectures at various state and national level
seminars and conferences. He is a hard core teacher teaching various subjects
of Pharmaceutics. He was specially involved in teaching Pharmacy Practice and
Community Pharmacy. He was senate member and presently academic council member
with the R.T.M. Nagpur University. He is R.R.C. member of various universities.
He was associated with syllabus framing of B. Pharma and M. Pharm course of
various universities.
Dr. Somashekhar S. Khadabadi is working as Principal at Govt. College of
Pharmacy Aurangabad (Maharashtra). Graduation from K L E's Jawaharlal Nehru
Medical College Belgaum, Karnataka University, Dharwad in 1983, Post-graduation
from Bangalore University, Bangalore in 1986, Philosophy of Doctor from P. G.
Department of Chemistry, Karnataka University, Dharwad in 1990 and LLB (Spl)
from Pune University in 2000. Published 2 reference books, 1 textbook, filled 4
patents and published more than 75 papers in reputed National and International
journals. He is members of many pharmaceutical professional bodies like IPA,
APTI, ISTE etc. He has guided more than 60 M. Pharm. students and 12 Ph.D.
students. He was BOS member of Amravati University, Swami Ramanand Teerth
Marathwada University, Nanded and Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Maratwada University,
Aurangabad. He was senate member in Principal category in Amravati University.
During his professional career spanning 25 years has made distinguished
contribution to the advancement of frontiers of knowledge in the areas of
pharmacy education, skills in admission process, introduction of new pharmacy
programs and all this work is recognized by Government of Maharashtra in
2008-2009 with award of “Best Teacher”. |
