About the Authors:

Prof. S. Balasubramanian M.Pharm, [Ph.D] is one of the active senior pharmacy teachers from south Tamil Nadu studied both his undergraduate and post graduate degrees from the prestigious and premier institute of the country Madurai Medical College. He took first rank in his batch of B.Pharm passed out in 1976. He has almost a decade of experience as Pharmaceutical Manufacturing chemist, another decade of experience as a Community Pharmacist in a foreign country and in pharmacy teaching for two decades, ever since he returned from abroad in Dec 1994. Thus he has vast experience in almost all major fields of Pharmacy which makes him unique amog the authors of pharmacy text books. With his hands on first hand practical knowledge with men, machine and material he has written this book, that is bestowed to very few by the almighty. He has to his credit more than 36 publictions in reputed journals. Being an active and versatile personality and an orator, writer and poet, he was elected unopposed, many times, as office bearer of professional associations in Madurai. He is one of the regular contributers to pharmacy journals .

 

Dr.N.Narayanan M.Pharm. Ph.D is one of the eminent teachers in pharmacy who has more than 32 years of experience. He had his undergraduate and post graduate degrees from the reputed institution of temple city-the Madurai Medical College in Tamil Nadu. He has started his carrier as Hospital pharmacist and risen to the top most position of the department, Joint Director of Medical Education [Pharmacy] of Government of Tamilnadu.

 He has served as a Manufacturing Chemist as well as Analytical chemist in private companies and also as professor of pharmacy in a Government institution of Sultanate of Oman. He has published more than 50 research papers in peer reviewed national and international journals with high impact factors. He has guided 50 M.Pharm students, 22 Ph.D scholars and 2 M.D [Pharmacology] candidates. He was the first principal of College of Pharmacy attached to the prestigious 177 year old Madras Medical College, Chennai and member of Tamilnadu Pharmacy Council, Pharmacy Council of India and almost all professional associations like IPA, IPGA and APTI.
